So I lied and didn’t get around to posting more thorough proposal pictures last night. They should come later today. Fingers crossed. In the meantime, here are my current desires and distractions.

1. Let me warn you now. Expect a whole lot more wedding planning talk around these parts. Now that that’s out of the way, here’s a list of supposedly outdated wedding traditions. Call me old fashioned, but I have to say I disagree with most of the items on the list. How about you? (Distractify)
2. Most illegally downloaded TV shows by state. Colorado is Penny Dreadful country. I have no idea what that is. (Daily Mail)
3. This thin camo sweater is the latest addition to my closet and I absolutely love it. It’s perfect for cool summer nights, and the silver tones go perfectly with my new hand bling. (LOFT)
4. The best Robin Williams obituary I’ve seen. Emphasis on “seen,” because the whole thing is done in a series of his best movie scenes. (Quartz)
5. If liquor labels told the truth. I don’t drink, but for everyone else’s sake I’m glad they don’t. (Bored Panda)
6. I really like the idea of a barn wedding, but this article has me rethinking things. Also, if you happen to have venue recommendations in or around DC, Cleveland or Atlanta, I’d love to hear them. Thanks! (New York Times)
7. After reading this list of the most annoying Facebook engagement announcements, I really hope I didn’t annoy anyone with mine. (Huffington Post)
8. The most darling, precious, beautiful example of sibling love I’ve ever seen. Bonus greatness: the video dates way, way back to the original Bob Saget era of America’s Funniest Home Videos. (YouTube)

Totally good with wedding planning discussions!! If you guys are seriously considering having it in DC, chat with me or Kelaine. I know she looked at nearly every venue in the city, and I had looked at several as well before deciding on the Fairmont. I also looked at some in NoVA if you want a more rustic vibe. Also I LOVED all my vendors so happy to refer you to them. Let’s chat over some green tea!
