Hot Chai Apple Cider | Fortune Goodies

Sometimes the tiniest of adjustments can pack a big punch. This shamefully easy hot chai apple cider is a prime example of such tasty easy-way-outing.

I’m a big fan of “halfway homemade” creations, but this recipe is SO user-friendly that even that label sounds way more labor intensive than it really is. You’ll see what I mean after the jump. 

Hot Chai Apple Cider

It’s as simple as a chai tea bag steeped in 2 parts hot apple cider and 1 part hot water. You can adjust the cider to water ratio to your liking, but that’s what I did. Cider can be a little too potent for me sometimes. 

Feeling fancy? Try adding a cinnamon stick or whipped cream or caramel sauce. The possibilities are endless.

And there you have it. Gourmet without any of the fuss.

Ingredients
  1. 2 parts apple cider
  2. 1 part water
  3. 1 chai tea bag
  4. cinnamon stick, optional
Instructions
  1. Heat apple cider and water until piping hot. Do it over the stove, in the microwave, whatever.
  2. Combine cider, water and tea bag in a mug. Let steep for 5 minutes.
  3. Remove tea bag, add cinnamon stick, enjoy!
Notes
  1. top your hot chai apple cider with whipped cream and caramel sauce!
