Super Bowl Bingo 2016Hi, fellow Broncos fans! I’m back with my third annual Super Bowl Bingo cards, and hope you’ll use them to join me in a competitive game of commercial/football watching this Sunday – as we all cheer on Peyton Manning, of course.

As always, these cards always take me a heck of a lot of time to make, but the fun they bring to even the least avid football fan (that would still be me) makes it all worth it. So if you’d like to make your viewing party a little more interesting, click here to download the free printable bingo cards and raise the stakes on Sunday night.

To play: Print out the cards (20 total on 10 sheets), cut them out, share them amongst your friends and watch the Super Bowl. The game officially begins at kickoff with the “Free Space” box in the middle to help get you started. Mark a box each time you see the play, shot or commercial listed. The first person to mark off five in a row (horizontal, vertical or diagonal) wins!

If I made these right, a winner shouldn’t be crowned too early into the game. I’d love your feedback though, so please report back and let me know how your game of game-day bingo went. Best of luck to you! And please spread the word about these. They’re too fun not to share.

P.S. Special thanks as always to Brian for handling the football mumbo jumbo. You’d think that after several years of making these, I’d start to have a clue, but that’s definitely not the case.

DIY Cardboard Box Coasters
Back in October, Brian penned a special post for his deliciously refreshing Jasmine Green Tea Lime Coolers. Today, we have yet another special guest post from Brian – this time in the DIY genre. Take it away Future Mr. Weiss-Yang:

“Hey kiddos! I know what you’ve been thinking: This froo-froo site really needs an injection of manliness. And since it’s spring you’re also probably looking for some fun household projects. Oh, and since it’s getting warmer out, you’re definitely looking for a place to put your nice cold beverages.

Enter: The Cardboard Box Coaster Set.

As difficult as these look to make, high style doesn’t have to come with a hefty level of effort, people. I’m going to show you how to make these beauties in just 5 simple steps and you’ll be impressing your friends in no time with these swanky catchers of cup sweat.

Super Bowl 2015 Bingo CardsAs a Broncos fan, it goes without saying that I’m not so thrilled about Sunday night’s matchup. I mean, come on. But team loyalty aside, I’m really looking forward to the big game for three big reasons. Brian spending the weekend in DC leads the list, followed by a tie between food and my now annual tradition of Super Bowl Bingo. The cards always take me a heck of a lot of time to make, but the fun they bring to even the least avid football fan (um, that would be me) makes it all worth it. So if you’d like to make your viewing party a little more interesting, click here to download the free printable bingo cards and join in on the fun!

To play: Print out the cards (20 total on 10 sheets), cut them out, share them amongst your friends and watch the Super Bowl. The game officially starts at kickoff. Mark a box each time you see the play, shot or commercial listed. The first person to mark off five in a row (horizontal, vertical or diagonal) wins!

Making these cards was a little more challenging this year, because advertisers aren’t being as forthcoming about when their commercials will air. Still, if I made these right, a winner shouldn’t be crowned too early into the game. I’d love your feedback though, so please report back and let me know how your game of game-day bingo went.

Best of luck to you! And please spread the word about these. Trust me when I say your passive football-viewing friends will thank you.

P.S. Special thanks once again to Brian for handling the football play mumbo jumbo.

Be-My-Bridesmaid-Box
This holiday season I’m thankful for great friends. So many in fact that picking only six to be my bridesmaids was one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever had to make. Next hardest was figuring out how exactly to ask them.

I’ve never been a bridesmaid myself, but the importance and – dare I say it? – burden of the role aren’t lost on me. 300-some dollars for a dress is a big ask. So, to make the commitment a little less painful, I popped the big question with a small box full of goodies.

Brace yourself for an exhaustive look at how I did it. What can I say? It was fun!
