My sincerest apologies for not publishing my usual Monday post sooner. It’s just been one of those days, you know? The same goes for last night thanks to a New York to DC drive that took twice as long as it should have. And to prove that I’m not a complete slacker and work a full-time job that can be quite demanding, here’s the video evidence.
Anyway, with that explanation out of the way, I want to share a stupidly easy halfway homemade recipe for Firecracker popsicles. You know the kind. Red white and blue and delicious all over. As you can see, these popsicles are on the monochromatic side, but the all-natural ingredients and no-fuss process more than make up for the lacking blue pigment.
Remember last Thursday’s impossibly easy slow-cooker Pasta e Fagioli? Well, these here cheesy, crunchy Fried Ravioli go great with the stuff. And like the soup, fried ravioli are all eat with none of the sw- that usually precedes it.

When holiday potluck number 5 rolled around, I was hurting. Having a food blog comes with certain expectations that one feels pressured to meet. Add to that final exams and a wacky work schedule, and I found myself making cupcakes at 2am one night and baking cookies at 6am the next morning. I was on an unsustainable path.
Luckily, I have no qualms about getting a little help from the Pillsbury Doughboy from time to time, and these halfway-homemade fried cinnamon-sugar biscuits with a cream-cheese sauce came to the rescue.
Isn’t December just so exhausting? The shorter days, dreary weather, and gift-shopping can really take it out of you. All I ever want to do when I get home is get into one of my many pairs of leopard-print pajamas and call it a night. And while I do often go through with such exciting plans, there are those other nights where I find myself needing to prepare something for Holiday Party Number (fill-in-the-blank-too-many). So what’s a girl to do when she wants to be lazy and still wow at the next potluck?
How about some halfway-homemade banana cream cupcakes? Yeah that should do.
