Hello there! So I realize last week’s plan for regular blogging didn’t quite go as I’d hoped, but I’m back today with a fun little video to make up for it. Brian and I spent both Memorial Day weekend and this past weekend in Cleveland so I thought it’d be nice to put together a home video highlighting what the city has to offer.
Believe it or not, one of the most common reactions I get when I tell people I’m getting married in Cleveland is, “Ugh! Why?” I get it. Cleveland doesn’t have the best reputation, but I hope this video shines a new light on Brian’s beloved city that I’ve come to know and love myself. We’re really excited to be getting married there (exactly two months from today!) and hope our guests will feel the same way.
P.S. I apologize in advance for my horrible moon-walk attempt.
It goes without saying that 2014 was one of the best years I’ve ever had. I went to Barcelona, finally got my MBA, traveled back to Europe, befriended lovely people, witnessed two sets of dear friends get married, ventured to Vancouver and Seattle, met and fell in love with Brian’s family at two epic bat mitzvahs, grew this little blog of mine and got engaged to a truly great guy that I can’t wait to call my husband. It’s gonna be a tough one to beat, but I have a feeling 2015 will manage to do so handily, particularly around August.
Thanks so much for following along. It means the world to me. Wishing you and yours all the best in 2015. Happy New Year!
I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas weekend regardless of whether you actually celebrate the holiday. Brian certainly doesn’t, but as you’ll see from this little home video, he and everyone else in my family had a really great time. You’ll notice the absence of skis in our otherwise classic Colorado wintertime video. We had to hit the slopes via snow tube because Brian hurt his foot and skiing was out of the question. We’ll give it another try next winter. Until then, I hope you like what you see, and if you, like most Americans, didn’t have a white Christmas this year, the snow in this video should help make up for it.

Back from our last trip of the season (we were in Sarasota celebrating Brian’s cousin Emma’s bat mitzvah. I have no words for how amazing it was.), and I’m finally ready to share that Seattle-Victoria-Vancouver vacation home video that I’d been promising.
We had the time of our lives and hope our home movie inspires you to check out each of the three cities yourself. Here’s a quick run-through of what we did, what we ate, and how we went from city to city.
Looking back, 2013 was a year of many ups and a few downs. In the last twelve months, I checked off another year of school, grew professionally, added a few more entries on my list of places traveled, and started this here blog of mine. I’d like to think I learned a life lesson or two along the way as well.
We also lost my grandmother late this year, and 2013 will therefore forever hold a sad, but special meaning with me. Her passing serves as a reminder that life is a thing to be cherished. Today, let’s give thanks that we were lucky enough to live through another year and blessed enough to witness the beginnings of the next.
Here’s to 2013, and a happy, healthy New Year.

In lieu of a baking post this Friday, I thought I’d share a short video instead. It’s just a little something something I put together to commemorate recent trips to Lake Anna, Charlottesville and Monticello. I spoke a little bit about how much I love it there in this post, and I’m really happy I now have this video reminder.
We’ll be trading the lake for the beach this weekend, and if the weather cooperates, sadly it might not, I could have another one of these videos up my sleeve.
I hope you have yourself a happy Friday and lovely weekend. You’ll find me on the beach. I’ll be the one regretting that bag of chips from the night before.
